Vi søker deltakere til et intensivt filmkurs for ungdom mellom 15 og 19 år bosatt i Oslo. Kurset vil foregå over ca. 10 kvelder i løpet av våren 2021 med oppstart lørdag 13. mars. Du vil motta et honorar for din deltakelse på kurset.
Målet for kurset er å lage enkle dokumentarfilmer med utgangspunkt i dine egne erfaringer og interesser. Du vil lære om enkel kamerabruk, klipp, lyd og dramaturgi, og få kunnskap om dokumentarfilmens fortellergrep og hvordan man forteller effektivt i kortfilmformatet. Kurset er utviklet av kunstner Ane Hjort Guttu og filmskaper Brwa Vahabpour med støtte fra PRAKSIS og KHIO. Filmene som produseres vil bli vist på NITJA senter for samtidskunst samt på digitale plattformer som PRAKSIS Presents.
Deltakerne på kurset får også mulighet til å delta inn i et forskningsprosjekt som skal bli en langfilm.
Det er ikke nødvendig å ha kunnskap om film på forhånd. Det er viktigere at du har noe du er opptatt av som du vil fortelle om. Dette kan være noe du har opplevd, en fritidsinteresse, en politisk sak eller noe annet som betyr noe for deg.
Hvordan Søke ?
For å søke skal du sende to korte videoer:
1. En video av deg selv tatt på f.eks. telefon. Fortell hvem du er, alder, hvor du bor og litt om hva du er opptatt av.
2. En kort film/video som du har laget selv, eller som du har funnet på nettet. Forklar kort hvorfor du har valgt den filmen og hva som er interessant med den.

Kurset vil foregå enten sentralt i byen eller et annet sted med lett tilgang til t-bane. Siden du mottar honorar for deltakelsen vil du kunne inkludere kurset som arbeidserfaring på CV.
Filmkurset er utviklet av kunstner Ane Hjort Guttu og filmregissør Brwa Vahabpour i samarbeid med KHIO/DIKU, PRAKSIS og NITJA Senter for Samtidskunst.
Are you interested in film and between 15-19 years old?

Seeking participants for an intensive film course for people between 15 and 19-year living in Oslo and the surrounding area. The course will take place over roughly ten evenings during Spring 2021 starting on Saturday 13 March. You will receive a fee for your participation in the course.
Course aims to make simple documentaries based on your own experience and interests. You will learn about camera use, editing, sound and story telling. The course is developed by artist Ane Hjort Guttu and filmmaker Brwa Vahabpour, with support from PRAKSIS and KHIO. The films that are produced will be shown at venues including NITJA Center for Contemporary Art, and online at PRAKSIS Presents.
Course participants also have the opportunity to participate in a research project that will inform a feature film.
No knowledge of film needed. It is more important that you have something you are interested in that you want to tell about. This could be an experience, a hobby, a political issue or something else important to you.
How to Apply?
To apply, submit two short videos (these can be made on a phone for example):
1. A video of yourself. Tell us who you are, your age, where you live and a little about what you are interested in.
2. A short film / video that you have made yourself, or that you have found online. Briefly explain why you chose that movie and what is interesting about it.

Location
The course will take place in Oslo at a location with easy access to the subway. Since you receive a fee for participation, you will be able to include the course as work experience on your CV.
