One side of the explorer presents interviews between artist Adam Peacock four speakers; author of The Transhuman Manifesto, Natasha Vita-More; Professor of History and Theory of Architecture at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Mark Jarzombek; artist and digital culture theorist, Lev Manovich; and artist, filmmaker, inventor and body architect, Lucy McRae each bring their unique perspectives to discussions of the impacts of new technologies on the human body. The speakers reflect on how trends shaped by algorithms inform a sense of self and desired body image; and the ethical implications these carry when combined with body modification technologies.

The reverse of the explore features a poster compiled from visions for future body prototypes by artists led by Adam Peacock; Marte Aas, Jonathan Armour, Louis Alderson-Bythell, Trinley Dorje, Erika Stöckel, and Bobby Yu Shuk Pui - who also worked together to devise the interview questions.

The Perfection / Speculation Explorer is released alongside video interviews with the speakers as part of PRAKSIS Presents. It responds to the research agenda of PRAKSIS residency 18 Perfection / Speculation, led by post-disciplinary artist/designer Adam Peacock through September 2021. The residency was held in collaboration with The Vigeland Museum, Oslo, and queer live events coordinators Karmaklubb*.
