Nellie Barazandeh, Hello internet! Who Are You Today?, 2021, mixed media on canvas
Are you an aspiring artist aged between 16 – 21? Would you like to talk about what you are working on and meet others with similar interests? Are you interested to learn more about what it is like to be an artist and how to become one? Sign up to this session of PRAKSIS Development Forum (PDF) now!
This is a great opportunity to:
Grow your project - share your ideas and gain insight from others.
Get inspired - learn about what other young artists are up to.
Be independent - be part of a discussion group outside of school or university.
Learn about future possibilities – discuss steps to a professional career.
This session is free and takes place online via Zoom. It is open to people around the world and will take place in English. It will have special awareness of language and take time to explain where needed.
Artists and PRAKSIS team members, Marit Silsand and Sayed Sattar Hasan, will lead the session and offer friendly support and advice throughout.
This is the first trial session of PDF Young. It has been developed following discussions with PRAKSIS Teen Advisory Board (PTAB), which highlighted that there isn’t much space for young people making art to discuss their work seriously, or to learn more about how to become a professional artist.
Book Your Place
There are 8 places for this session and booking is essential in order to coordinate the online group.
To reserve a spot or if you have questions please email: pdf@praksisoslo.org.
How To Share
PDF focuses on works and ideas in progress, as well as questions you may have. You will have 15 minutes to share and talk about your ideas, work and/or ask questions. You can share your work in any number of ways. For example, you can:
Share your screen, showing photographs of what you are working on directly from your laptop.
You can live stream – use a show and tell method via your camera.
Lead a discussion or voice ideas, with or without a visual presentation.
It’s up to you!
