PRAKSIS Development Forum (PDF) session 13 welcomes artist Hamid Waheed to start the roundtable sharing event. Hamid will discuss his current works in progress before all participants have the opportunity to present their work in development.
PDF is free to join, held in English due to transnational setting and refreshments are provided.
BOOK YOUR PLACE
There are 8 places for this session and booking is essential. If you are curious about PDF but don't necessarily want to show anything (yet) feel free to come and see what goes on.
To reserve a spot please email: office@praksisoslo.org for attention of Sayed.
PDF STRUCTURE
Each participant has around 20 minutes to share their current artistic activity. PDF’s focus is on works and ideas in progress, so please do not present finished works or projects. Projects in development can be shared in a number of ways, for example; showing physical works, slideshows, readings, performances, or any means which suitably communicate ideas. A projector and laptop is available for the group to use throughout the session. PDF encourages variety and experimentation, so please get in touch if you have any questions or requirements.
ABOUT HAMID WAHEED
Waheed works within the expanded field of moving images, performance and writing. His practice explores characterization and queerness which becomes a lens to further examine psycho-social settings, time, violence and death. Waheed also curates video art as part of the collective ’HÆRK’, which focuses on circumpolar/arctic perspectives.
